The Star of David stands for Shield of David in Judaism and is a recognised symbol of Jewish identity. It is a six-pointed star which is a compound of two equilateral triangles where one represents the tribe of Judah and the other that of Benjamin. In Christianity and Islam, the Star of David is associated with either King Solomon or King David.
